Chinese New Year

Chinese New Year is from the end of December to the fifth of January of next year. From the last day of December on, we say "恭喜" to each other. We also light firecrackers to frighten away the terrible beast called "年" , but now it is just a way to celebrate. This festival is also the time that families get reunion and eat dinner together. There are fish, spinach, rice cake, dumpling, and so on. And adults will give lucky money to children to wish them a good luck. On the fifth of January, people go back to their job and start working.　by Kevin

I always go back to Kaohsiung to celebrate New Year. My Family get together and eat a lot of traditional foods, for example, dumplings, rice cake, oranges, fish, apples, and Pork Knuckle Noodle Threads. We play mahjong and poker cards. I have many cousins, so I can play many things with them a long time. I can tell you what the foods mean! Apple means peace. Rice cake means getting better. Orange means good luck. I usually play computer at Chinese News Year , But this year I gambled a lot , I am good at gambling , not because I practice more , but because I have good luck.

I won a lot of money this year. I used that money to buy shoes and Gash .Gash is for a kind of computer game. It can buy clothes for your characters, and make your characters handsome.

It’s fun, but after Chinese News Year, I need to read books for the test in May.　　by Alex

Chinese New Year is a very lively holiday. We can see family members that we haven’t seen a long time. Moreover, we can go to play. But, sometimes I don’t like to go to play because I haven’t been home for a long time. I want to be at home and play computer.　　by Jessie

Chinese New Year is the most important festival in Taiwan in a year. Chinese New Year has many days and many interesting customs. On the New Year Eve people would prepare a lot of food to worship gods and ancestors to thank them for blessing us a year and hope them can continue to bless us for the next year. On New Year's Eve people can't sleep because an old tale says, at the eve, the big monster would kidnap children if they are sleeping. So at night, people would play some games to keep awake. On New Year Day, people visit relatives and friends. And adults would give children red envelope. That means adults would hope the children will have more luck in the new year. On the second day of Chinese New Year, every family would go to mom's hometown because at ancient time if a woman got married they can go back to their hometown only during New Year time. Chinese New Year has 15 days. During these days people can bet some money, and relax. So everyone loves Chinese New Year. 　by Tina

Paul(博文)

Computer is my friend,I play games on computer,use computer to do many things.For example,playing computer games,doing homework,reading e-mail,listening to music and watch movies.

Daisy(麗婷)

Computer is not my friend.I will not shop on the compute.I don’t know what is MSN and facebook.I have an e-mail account but I didn’t use it before.I don’t like compute,and I don’t know why.

Tina(彥廷)

Compute is an important thing in our life.Everyone needs it,and I need it,too.But I do not use it to shop,make friends,play games or facebook,because I think time wasting.I just use it to get or receive e-mails.Sometimes I also to do research or see some movies on Youtube.The compute is complex.Sometimes it crashes or gets a virus.So we need to learn more about compute.Now, compute is important and it is a assistant to us.

I play compute at home.I play games S.F C.S Ogame and MHP.Computer is a very good tool,because it has a hidden test!

There is a compute form my father and I like to download Youtube,but I don’t like to play games on the compute because I just don’t like to.

I use computer to kill time on the Internet.I also play games on compute.I use facebook.It’s a big website for anyone to make friends,play games,and chat online.

Jerome and I are playing a game named “S.F”.It’s a shooting game.It’s an exciting game.There are another gase named “Ogame”.It’s a game of wars in space.It’s a very good game.

I think compute is not a good thing sometimes!Sometimes it influnces studing.

Sometimes I indulge in computer networl. Compute is very important for me because I always use it and I can’t live without it.Oh my god~I spend too much time on computer.My mom took my computer away because I used it every day and my mom was very angry for this.

Compute is sometimes a good friend but sometimes a bad friend.

Amanda(曼曼)

I love computer so much,but I can’t use it all the time because my mom.

I use my computer to makes friends,a lot of friends,I use MSN to talk to them.

I never play any games on the computer,because I think is time-wasting.

參觀臺大實驗農場-園藝分場

2009年11月4日
一群學生利用空白週跟著佳仁老師到台大參觀
臺大生農學院附設農業試驗場－園藝分場

前往園藝場的路上，發現公館也有車水馬龍之外的一面！
我們一邊參觀蔬果生態體驗園、一邊聆聽導覽解說，
最後做了「草頭寶寶」DIY。
12個人12種風格，隻隻不同的「草頭寶寶」，滿有趣的。

達冠草種子發芽很快，
拿回家沒澆水，一兩天後還是冒出綠芽，
促進會的廚房放了庭光的草頭寶寶，
一開始頭髮豎著長，
後來每隔幾天，就變成分兩叉、前後左右壓、蓬鬆龐克頭...
嗯，看來不少人都曾經是它的髮型師。

My name is Amanda, I studied in Wesley girls’ high school, I’m studying in Binjing junior high school now. Both of them are great school. And I’m a ninth-grade student, I’m going to gave an important test next year. I’m a girl, of course. I’m not fat but also not thin, I think. I have long black hair and big black eyes. I’m 156 centimeters tall and my weight is a secret, ha ha . I really really like to wear slippers. They make me so comfortable. I love to dance and I love hip hop music, pop music.

　　在這個世界中，我們因為忙碌和許多人擦肩而過，而沒有好好欣賞對方的美。有人常說：「認真的人最美」。我覺得這句話說的真對。

　　我們每天走在橋上，陸上，我們都該感謝那些幫我們鋪路的伯伯阿姨，因為他們，我們才可以很安心的走在每一條路上，他們所流下的每一滴汗，都是在為這個社會造福阿！所以，「認真的人最美」。

　　爸爸是我們這個家的支柱，他努力賺錢養我們家三個女人。爸爸工作很認真，早上十點出門，晚上接近十一點才回來。然後每天都必須忍受很多人的口臭，擺出專業的態度替人看牙！所以「認真的人最美」。

　　媽媽以前是家庭主婦，可是她的興趣是教小朋友，所以她就開了一間補習班，她說：「雖然爸爸的錢夠養我們，但這是我喜歡的事！」看著媽媽常為了補習班忙的分身乏術，不免有些心疼，但也為她高興，畢竟「忙」就代表生意好。所以「認真的人最美」。

　　有時後，腳步放慢一點，會發現生活上更多美好的事。

給同學的12樣見面禮

　　說到見面禮，第一個閃過我腦海的是書，史帝芬˙金的【戰慄遊戲】，我很想將自己最喜歡的書推薦給許多認識的人看。但我突然發現，分享的心固然如此熱誠，但要「送給」別人卻是完全另一回事，我一點也不想使喜歡的東西離開我身邊。

　　仔細想想，難道我就沒有很棒、同時又捨得送出的好東西嗎？這篇文章中要找出的１２樣見面禮，為的是要送出建議、發揮友誼、展現為他人找想的心，但我真的有那麼珍貴的東西嗎？

　　在家中，翻翻找找、找找翻翻，我看到壓在衣服堆底下露出一截的衣架角，看起來怪可憐的，就把它抽出來。嗯，記得行走坐臥、做人處事都要像衣架一般端正，腦海中很快就湊出一個。不過仔細想想送別人衣架實在很怪，同學的書包還不見得塞得下，到時候再順口建議他們將衣架掛在書桌前好了，這樣用功的時候就可以邊看衣架線條簡單的英姿，邊發憤圖強了。

　　看到桌上有一個空藥袋，就當作它可以提醒我們注意健康好了。藥袋旁邊有潔牙線，那就是要我們時常挑剔自身。再旁邊有個過期的發票，提醒我們要把握時間，以免錯失一百萬。話說回來好像愈來愈偏離主題了，我仔細翻翻看桌上是否還有像話的東西。

　　一隻筆，記得時時記下別人對我們的好（比方說我送的１２樣見面禮，這個善意一定要大大記下來）；一張白紙，畫著可怕的笑臉，重點不是上頭笑臉，而是告訴我們要讓自己有空白的空間（附上橡皮擦一枚時時擦去垃圾），可以容納更多的知識與經驗，當然還有微笑與祝福。

　　糟糕，好像真的愈扯愈遠了。嗯，翻翻桌子底下，發現一雙落在地上的免洗筷，它告訴我們槓桿原理－－啊！不是不是，是告訴我們一根筷子沒有用，要兩根筷子才能夾菜，這是很有勵志作用的（這就算兩個見面禮吧！）。

　　雖然前面的９樣見面禮都不大像話，不過最後我還找到兩份見面禮，是在廁所裡找到的－－海綿提醒我們要時時吸收新知充實自己、漱口杯教導我們盛裝的同時，不要讓自己因負荷過多而溢出，也不要讓自己有個馬馬虎虎的破口，哪怕是一條裂縫也會漏掉一切。

　　還有一項見面禮，我想已經有人收到了。我寫的開頭時曾自問自己有沒有很棒、同時又捨得送出的好東西，我想是有的。雖然離很棒有一大段距離，但的的確確是我最珍惜、同時也最想跟別人分享的東西，那就是一篇篇我自己寫的文章。我不知道該怎麼形容，但是我希望最後一份禮物，可以讓收到的人，認識我是個什麼樣的人。
